Well the final solution to my technology problem was to order a new computer. My dad’s computer is getting worse, so he will take over my current comp, and I will get the new one.

What did I go with? A Compaq SR1020T. I know, some people hate Compaq’s, but I have fantastic luck with them, so oh well. I configured it with:

Windows XP home with SP2
Pentium 519J at 3.06 GHz
1 gig of ram, 200 gig hard drive
16X DVD-r/rw (my first one ever)
48X cd-rom
9 in 1 card reader, 3 USB, + audio ports
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS card w/Front Audio ports

Already have speakers, moniter, keyboard and the mouse and such, so skipped all that stuff. Not a super system, but will serve me nicely. Really excited about the dvd burner and the 9 in 1 card reader though.

Now…the waiting game for it to arrive. Ick.
