Tracking Santa

Written by Sean P Aune  |  under General

I check this out every year, and it never gets old. NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command), located inside Cheyenne Mountain, CO (yes, I said “INSIDE”), has one primary mission, protect the airspace over the USA. One day out of the year though, they turn their massive monitering ability over to tracking one lone object as it travels the skies of the world.

Starting at 12:01 AM, December 25th at the Internaional Date Line, NORAD tracks Santa Claus as he travels the globe on his annual mission of bring toys to all the good boys and girls of the world. Follow along on the radar, watch videos and look at pictures of his various stops through out the day.

And in the spirit of the season….
