I have so many questions... but can't ask them as I literally have tears in my eyes from laughing at the replies. W… twitter.com/i/web/status/9…
So, tomorrow we will be treated to a remake of the classic 1976 horror film, The Omen. This is a travesty on so many levels, I wouldn’t even know where to start.
To add insult to injury though, today it was announced that Rob Zombie would be remaking Halloween. This is one of my all-time favorite horror films, and helped catapult Jamie Lee Curtis and John Carpenter to fame.
I have no problem with Zombie, I enjoyed House Of 1,000 Corpses, and I’ve always liked his music, but this is like the holy grail of horror films to me. I have so many fond memories from the costume business and all the inside jokes about the mask. It was also the first horror films I remember truly watching. It is just one of those classics that shouldn’t be touched.
This is such a common trend right now. It seems like Hollywood has no original ideas left and all they are capable of doing is rehashing the older classics on us in the form of remakes. It needs to stop. Just watch the originals folks, do yourselves that favor.
