An Italian and German penalty kick shoot out seemed to be almost gaurenteed….up until the last 100 seconds of over time. Grosso of Italy got a goal at the 28:20 mark…and Del Piro got another at 13 seconds in to stoppage time.

Germany played an amazing game and it really came down to the Italian goalkeeper saveing their behind shot after shot. The two goals were deserved and were great scores, but it was just devestating to those of us who were tooting for Germany. The PKs seemed so gaurenteed and to have 2 goals scored that rapidly…just devestating.

Germany will not play the loser of tomorrows Portgual vs. France game for 3rd place.
