Just out of curiosity, what kind of price differential can you see between economy and business class? I never checked into business seriously. How much more is it?

Avoiding Obon is always a consideration for me. The first time I went, I got there at the tail end of it, never again. I lost too much time to places being closed. So now I always plan to arrive after it ends. And yeah, Business is essential.

At least you’re getting here after obon, which means you’ll miss the crush of travelers hitting Tokyo for the holiday. And I hear ya about Business class. It is definitely worth the extra expense on a transpacific flight — and I’m not even close to 6′4″!!
