Ok, I loved the first half of the movie and then we get to...the traitor. They made a big deal out of the fact that while you are in the Matrix, someone on the ship has to:
A) Plug you in
B) Monitor you
C) You have to call for an out
D) Someone has to unplug you

So, either:
1) Someone was working with him, and it was never revealed
2) They broke their own established rules for entry/exit in and out of the Matrix.
3) Smith had a way of covering up what was happening and they didn't feel anyone needed to know that in the audience

Like I said, I loved the first half of the film, thought it was really innovative and original. After the traitor it just became cliche after cliche. I finally watched the 2 sequels on cable...yeah, it just got worse.

You know, Shakespeare's plays used to be like TV back in those days. But now it is considered literature and studied in every school.

One day "The Matrix" will be like that. Mark my words.

You don't like the MATRIX, have never watched LOST. Seriously, you need to reassess your values ;-)

OK, I have a lot of other comments but unfortunately I have to go to sleep now.

Vacations - I just have never gotten the concept of "Let's go some place, spend money, wear ourselves out, and come back to work more tired than when we left!" I don't mind doing fun things when I'm away on business, like going to a museum or the such, but to go somewhere with the express purpose of being lazy? Just not my thing.

Coming back to Japan - I will, it's just a matter of scheduling and having enough funds to make it worthwhile. I'm always on buying trips when I'm over there, so I have to have enough reasons to come over at one shot. Hopefully sometime in 2007.

Fan fic - Fine...All My Children, there I can die now.

My ashes - I contacted the Japanese embassy here about it and they weren't sure *laugh*. Who knows, I know sneaky people, they'll just think it's someone emptying an ashtray:-p

Graveyards - It's not a macabre thing for me either. I enjoy seeing how people lived, how long they lived and the craftsmanship of older tomb stones. Yeah, those sticks are odd, but people do leave ODD reminders at the graves sometimes. I saw a plastic Santa once, never did figure out the significance of that one.

*laugh* no one says you have to be a fan of the work I do, didn't bother me in the least:) And I'm actually watching some as I type this *laugh*

Ah, the list that launched two other lists. That's me. ;-) Seriously, I do enjoy these. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Why do vacations annoy you?

And if you want to come back to Japan so badly, why don't you?

And you must reveal what the fanfic is based on. You can only die once of embarrassment over it then you will be free.

I think it's illegal to have your ashes spread over Tokyo. ;-)

Oddly, you and I have #72 in common. It's not about being macabre for me though. It's about forming some notion of how someone was regarded by what is written on the stone. For that reason, I find Japanese graveyards exceptionally boring since it's just a bunch of sticks. Since I grew up about a half mile from a graveyard and it was accessible via some woods behind our house, I used to hike over there as a kid with my friends or cousins. We didn't do anyting bad but we did used to walk around a lot because it was on the edge of town and as close as we could get before my parents would get annoyed that we ran off.

As an aside, I didn't realize you were in the anime business when I said I didn't like manga and anime though I would still have said it anyway since it's the truth. I guess though that you're certainly not sick of seeing it. ;-)
