I left my new Dell on all weekend so I could log in to it remotely to check up on things. I come in today, close all my programs, go to restart and….

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.

Of course Dell didn’t send me a boot disk, and I forgot to make one, so they are having to send me a restore disc. Even after that, I may have to reinstall XP…joy of joys. Have I mentioned lately how I can’t wait to switch over to a Mac?
