Luis - I tend to ignore them because they are usually people who come on here to do nothing but argue with me. Last time was a couple of months ago about DRM of all things. How anyone can defend DRM is beyond me, but it turned in to an all night comment war, and since, I tend to distrust Anons as nothing more than trolls.

You... I'll just smack upside the head :-p

"Anonymous" is me. I didn't not sign it, instead somehow my computer lost the cookie for this site, or it lapsed, or something. Since the computer usually fills it in for me automatically, I didn't even think about it, and did not notice that it was anonymous.

Why would you ignore anonymous postings, anyway?

Michael: no, I haven't heard of centralized storage; please explain.

Anonymous has never heard of centralized storage. Just because he hasn't figured out how to do it, doesn't mean it is even relatively difficult.

... I love people who don't sign comments. Yes, I am fully aware they don't expect me to use the entire thing, but thus far, I am quite happy with them.

Not signing a comment, even with a fake name, just makes me generally ignore you though.

Generally speaking, web hosts offer far more than they can deliver, hoping that people will be attracted by the higher numbers, but will not actually use the increased disk space and bandwidth. Those who do take advantage of the full offer are often sent to backwater servers, where they share low-speed connections with other people who actually take the host up on their offer--or, often times, they are discarded by the web host entirely on the basis of some or another infraction.

Realistically, no web host can truly offer that much to even a small percentage of their clients, unless the clients are paying in the hundreds of dollars per month. You would appear to have the $16/mo. deal... but when youn think about it, the amounts you mention would require from three to six clients per server. No way they're doing that. Usually at that price range, they put 25-50 clients on a single server, so you can guess what would happen if even a small percentage used the total amounts offered.
