For TV/Movies, MHO is that if the show has aired, talking about what happened is no longer a spoiler. At some point, those who do not want to be spoiled need to take some responsibility for not spoiling themselves (if there's something I don't want to get spoiled on, I don't read about it)...and if it takes you 2 years to watch a show, its not my fault if you hear about the ending before you see it. ;-)

But, when I write anything with a potential to be viewed as a spoiler, I give readers warning in the first paragraph, so they know there are spoilers coming up and they may want to stop reading...keeps me from getting 'omg you ruined it for me' in the comments. :-)

Heh - I used to do book and movie reviews. I'd put an intro paragraph to grab attention for the review, then a line in italics that said "spoilers after the break", then a "More" tag to break the post off the front page. PITA. On my personal blog, if I write about Saturday's Torchwood, for example, I just let 'er rip, spoilers be damned. Occasionally, if it's something really big like Harry Potter on my personal blog, I'll announce "Spoiler" and leave spoiler space.
