I swear I can predict which posts will make you appear :P

I admit I am a reality TV addict, but for the reason I love trying to figure out why these people would ever do this to themselves! Are they narcissists? Simply stupid? WHY?!?

And, yes, I think she has a case for assault.

What you're talking about is televised assault and battery pretending to be entertainment. Nothing really new--anyone remember Morton Downey Jr?--but terrifying all the same.

I'm wondering what the hell the production company was thinking. She probably signed away her right to sue as a condition of being on the program, but (as I understand it) you can't sign away your civil rights, and this sounds like criminal assault. Can she press charges? And would the production company count as accessories?

For the record, I've watched about four minutes of reality TV in my life--no cable, no antenna, just the TV and a DVD player. Not regretting that a bit.
