Adam - Some amazing stuff comes out of Boston music wise (the Murphys, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, most of the early third wave Ska stuff), so I envy you being in the area. Great pictures, must have been a blast!

[...] Sean P Aune’s recent post about finally getting to go see a concert, and being especially pumped that it’s The Dropkick Murphys encouraged me to post my favorite Dropkick song. Sean posted a clip of Dropkick playing The Dirty Glass live as one of his favorite songs, and though it’s a good song it’s not my personal favorite. That distinction goes to Boys on the Dock, which is an even more amazing song live. [...]

Rock on Sean!

I live in Dorchester, which is the biggest neighborhood of Boston and also across the river from Quincy, MA, where the Dropkick Murphys were formed. Needless to say, the Dropkick Murphys are a great band and one of my personal favorites. They also put on an awesome show.

I've been lucky to have seen Dropkick a few times, though my favorite performance has got to be after the recent Red Sox world series when they followed the Sox on the duck boat parade through the city playing their classics along the way. Check out the absolutely ridiculous vantage point I got for their last song. Gotta love Mike Timlin walking by with the pirate flag!
