Rumors Begin Circulating for Transformers 4

Written by  |  under Movies

Josh DuhamelIt’s never too early to start speculating about what will be happening in a movie, even if it won’t start filming for another year.

Now that Michael Bay has confirmed he will direct Transformers 4, rumors are already circulating as to what the story may be, or which actors will be returning. Speaking with E! Online, Josh Duhamel said “I don’t think anybody’s doing it.  I know Shia [LaBoeuf]‘s not doing it. I don’t think Tyrese or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it.”  He went on to add, “Whenever these movies make that much money they’re going to make as many as they can.”  However, I would again remind everyone how far out we are from this production even beginning as Duhamel himself added, “[But] I haven’t heard anything about it. They haven’t called me.”  Maybe because hardly anything is decided yet?

Meanwhile, Badass Digest had this:

A source close to the production of Transformers 4 has cleared up some elements about the film. While the term ‘re-imagining’ was thrown around, the fourth film will be a straight up sequel to the last movie. It just won’t be told through Witwicky’s point of view. As to whose point of view it will be told through, that’s unclear right now, but it’s also unclear which – if any – human characters will be back.

“Michael realized it needs to be more like the last hour [of Dark of the Moon],” this source told me. So expect lots of big action, lots of carnage, lots of military badasses, very few silly bits.

One has to wonder how someone could be “a source close to the production” when the production hasn’t even begun yet.

For the time being I would say for those that care, take everything with a large dose of salt because absolutely nothing is known yet at this point.
