Han Solo film may kick off a trilogy bit.ly/2a3IkNB
With eight unaired episodes in the can, Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 looks to be a goner over at ABC.
In its second season, Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 has been suffering from low ratings. It was originally supposed to help anchor a Tuesday comedy block along with Happy Endings, but neither show has exactly been tearing up the ratings this season. When 666 Park Avenue was canceled, but shows were trailed in its slot on Sunday nights, but after two airings they were yanked from there.
It was announced on Tuesday that Don’t Trust is being pulled from the schedule effective immediately. There are eight unaired episodes, and while no official plans have been announced for those as of yet, the suspicion is they will be burned off in the summer months. In the meantime, Happy Endings was out of rotation this week for a special premiere, but it will turn the following week where it will go todouble airings to burn itself off prior to the spring premiere of Dancing With the Stars. Once the dancing takes over, Endings will be done for the season with no word yet on its chances for renewal.
ABC is not having a great year. Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue both crashed and burned, Don’t Trust is a goner now, and Private Practice is doomed. Looks like the odds of S.H.I.E.L.D. – which is filming this week – getting picked up for a fall 2013 debut are definitely improving.
