NEVERTHRONERS! To your #got bunkers! This is going to be a rough one!
Kelsey Grammer, best known for his long run on television as Frasier Crane from Cheers and Frasier, has been cast as the human villain for Transformers 4.
Yep, because after three movies Michael Bay still hasn’t grasped we couldn’t care less about the human characters in the Transformers movies. We should have known when he cast Nicola Peltz as the female lead, but he certainly knows best… or at least that is what he keeps telling himself.
According to Deadline, Grammer will be playing Harold Attinger who is the member of some counter intelligence group, not that it really matters as the characters will be paper thin at best. It is still probably best to revisit the Transformers 4 plot synopsis that came out a few months ago for some context.
As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.
As a card carrying geek, I feel it is my obligation to talk about these movies, but man it is just becoming more and more painful to do so.
Transformers 4 will be released June 27, 2014.
