Superman and Batman Film May Have the Heroes Fighting it Out

It appears that the Superman-Batman film announced at San Diego Comic Con will indeed have the two hereos fighting it out on the big screen.

Speaking at the Superman 75th Anniversary panel at the annual convention, script writer David S. Goyer provided some more details on what we can expect from the film that sent fan boys into spasms of joy.

So the next film we’re making, we’re already in pre-production, comes out in summer of 2015 and it’s–we’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s–that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening.

To help narrow it down, did some domain name research and came up with some telling information:

It turns out that Warner Bros. owns both and, which could be used to protect comic book titles as well as movie titles. However, when we added movie to the end, we found out that Warner Bros. had only registered but not

We also checked a couple more possibilities just to be on the safe side, and Warner Bros also hadn’t bothered to register or Someone had registered the domain name after the announcement was made, but it was a private registration, which likely isn’t Warner Bros. Warner Bros. would likely have registered that name before they announced it if they planned to use it.

So it would appear we’ll be going with Batman Vs Superman as the film title in 2015.

I can’t say I’m too surprised this is going to be a movie with the titans of comic book stories duking it out. It’ll sell better than “We’re the bestest of friends! Lets go for brunch!”

2015 is going to be a crazy year for films.
