NEVERTHRONERS! To your #got bunkers! This is going to be a rough one!
Kate Mara may star in the Fantastic Four reboot, but that doesn’t mean she’s actually seen the film.
Fantastic Four is set to become a write off for Fox with estimates stating it will lose the studio tens of millions of dollars. What is sure to not help it is when one of the stars says even they haven’t seen the movie.
Kate Mara who played Sue Storm/Invisible Woman spoke with The Times in the lead up to her role in The Martian, and called director Josh Trank’s post release comments about the film “highly disappointing.” Despite all of this, she states that she had a “good time” making the film, bue admits it wasn’t a bed of roses. “It was a tricky shoot but you know… When you know when you’re shooting it that a film isn’t going to be what you want it to be (sic)? That was not the case at all.”
Despite all of the issues Mara said that the cast “really had each other’s backs,” and that is probably her biggest regret about the project. “That’s the thing that makes me most bummed because we have no idea if we’ll ever make another one.”
But then comes the important part where she’s asked if she’s seen the film yet. “No, but I will eventually.” She stated that all of the harsh review had made her feel “a little bit gun-shy” about seeing it.
When even your own cast isn’t watching the film, you have to wonder how Fox is still even remotely thinking about moving forward with the sequel.
