Disney has scored another live-action hit.
The Jungle Book scored the second highest opening for April with a very healthy $103.56M. It also took in $187.4M at the foreign box office for a total of $290.96M off of a $175M budget.
It has been 12 years since the last Barbershop film, Barbershop: The Next Cut came in second with $20.21M.
Melissa McCarthy slipped to third place in its second weekend with The Boss, falling 56.9 percent.It took in $10.17M for a domestic total of $40.35M off of a $29M budget.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fell to fourth place with $9M. It now stands at $311.31M domestically and $516M foreign for a global total of $827.31M off of a $250M budget.
Zootopia is still going strong and landed in fifth place this week with $8.23M for a new domestic total of $307.47M and a global total of $882.27M.
The biggest release next weekend is The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
