The Accountant counts up a win at the box office

Ben Affleck once again wins the box office with his new film.

The Accountant, starring Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick,  took in $24.71M this weekend off of a $44M budget.

Second place went to the comedy film Kevin Hart: What Now? which in $11.98M off of a $9.9M budget, which seems a bit high for a concert film, but apparently that’s what it took to make it.

The Girl on the Train fell to third place with a 51.2 percent drop to take in $11.97M. Domestically it sits at $46.55M, and the global total is $79.65M off of a $45M budget.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children came in number four this weekend with $8.9M domestically. Globally it sits at $196.76M off of its $110M budget, $65.83M of that being domestic.

True-life story Deepwater Horizon came in fifth with $6.35M. Domestically it sits at $49.33M and globally at $77M off of a $110M budget. It still has a long way to go to profit.

This week’s big releases are Boo! A Madea Halloween, Jack Reacher 2, Keeping Up with the Joneses and Ouija 2.
