At long last, Warner Brothers has announced that Young Justice season 3 is on the way.
There hasn’t been a new episode of Young Justice since March 16, 2013, but Warner Brothers has finally announced that there will indeed be a third season. No premiere date or network partner is known as of yet, but we do know it’s coming.
Young Justice aired for two seasons on Cartoon Network and followed the adventures of the young sidekicks and proteges of the well-known heroes. The team consisted of characters such as Robin, Kid Flash, Artemis, Miss Martian and so on, and, to be blunt, it was darn entertaining. Unfortunately, the funding for the series was tied to a toy line from Mattel, and when the toy maker canceled the line, so went the series.
There’s no indication of what has changed to allow a new season to be produced, but I’m not going to argue with the turn of events as I was one of the people calling for more episodes.
If you’ve never seen it, it’s worth hunting down and watching if you’re the least bit into superheroes.
