Doctor Strange casts a spell on the box office for a second week

The latest Marvel movie has scored another win at the box office.

Doctor Strange won the box office in its second weekend with $43M, a drop of 49.4 percent. Domestically it has hit $153M and globally it already sits at $492.61M off of a $165M budget.

Trolls had a very healthy weekend came in second in its debut with $45.6M. It’s already racked up $104M in the foreign markets for a global total of $149.6M off of a $125M budget.

Arrival debuted in third place with $24M off of a $47M budget. With the out of the world reviews it’s getting, expect this one to hold well next week.

Fourth place saw the debut of Almost Christmas which took in $15.56M off of a $17M budget.

Rounding out the top five was Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge with $10.77M for a new total of $32.26M off of a $40M budget.

Next week’s big releases are Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and Bleed for This.
