There is just no stopping Disney this year.
Moana is the latest in a string of hits for Disney. The latest animated feature from the House of Mouse took in $28.37M in its second weekend. Domestically it sits at $119.88M and globally $177.38M.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, the first in a new series of movies set in the world of Harry Potter, took second place this weekend with $18.54M for a new domestic total of $183.5M off of its budget of $180M. With its foreign numbers it sits at $607.9M globally.
Arrival climbed two spots this weekend to take third place with $7.3M and now sits at $73M domestic and $105.24M global off of its $47M budget.
Brad Pitt’s Allied held on to fourth place with $7M for a new domestic total of $28.92M off of an $85M budget.
Doctor Strange came in fifth this weekend with $6.48M which brings its domestic total to $215.3M and globally to $634.9M off of a $165M budget.
Office Christmas Party is the only big opener this week, so expect the top five to not change much.
