Based on the success of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer alone, Sony has already announced a release date for a sequel.
Once again, Sony clearly doesn’t really care about results.
In the previous two Sony Spider-Man franchises, the studio went a bit nuts announcing sequels and spin-offs without having much data to go on. Although Marvel is now involved with the Spider-Man films, it seems Sony hasn’t learned a thing. With less than two days of data for the number of views on a trailer, Sony announced that Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (which is doubtful to be the title) will hit theaters on July 5, 2019.
With this announcement, this is how the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe release schedule looks:
It is believed that the Avengers film on May 3, 2019 will end Phase 3, but that may now be in question with the Spider-Man announcement unless it will launch Phase 4.
So, remember folks, your trailer views may now launch sequels. With that in mind, here is the trailer for Monster Trucks again.
