Avengers Infinity War trailer - It's going to be all out action buff.ly/2DyxddR https://t.co/bE5MHCXnG6
To absolutely no one’s surprise, the appearance of Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok has been confirmed.
Mark Ruffalo was long ago confirmed to appear in the third Hulk film, but that didn’t necessarily guarantee we would see him Hulk out as he could have just been appearing as Bruce Banner. Marvel has now released a synopsis of the film and it not only confirms the Hulk, but also pretty much confirms elements of the Planet Hulk storyline will be included.
In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!
I’m super curious how Hulk ended up off Earth as we last saw him flying off in a Quinjet at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. In the comics it was a result of the Illuminati – a think tank made up of the Marvel Comics Universe six most intelligent characters – deciding that the Hulk posed to big of a threat to the world and blasted him off into space. It seems unlikely the film will follow the same storyline as two of the Illuminati members – Professor Xavier and Reed Richards – are not part of the MCU.
We’ll find out when Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on Nov. 3.
