LEGO Batman Movie wins the weekend at the box office

The LEGO brand still has some magic.

The LEGO Batman Movie came in first this weekend taking in $55.63M off of a $80M budget.

Second place went to Fifty Shades Darker with $46.79M off of a $55M budget.

John Wick: Chapter Two took third place with $30M off of a $40M budget. It doubled the haul of the original film off of its growth in the home video market.

Split is proving to be a bit of a comeback for M. Night Shyamalan and landed in fourth place this weekend. His latest took in $9.32M this weekend. This brings its domestic total to $112.29M off of a $9M budget.

Rounding out the top five was Hidden Figures with $8M for a new domestic total of $131.45M off of a $25M budget.

This week will see A Cure for Wellness, Fist Fight and The Great Wall.
