LEGO Batman Movie wins second weekend at the box office

The LEGO brand still has some magic.

The LEGO Batman Movie came in first this weekend taking in $34.22M for a new domestic total of $98.79M and $170.79M globally off of a $80M budget.

Second place went to Fifty Shades Darker with $20.96M and a domestic total of $89.66M off of a $55M budget. While that isn’t horrible, the 55 percent drop this weekend it doesn’t bode well for the overall total.

The Great Wall took third place with an opening of $18M off of a $150M. While this may sound like a disaster, it has already taken in $244.6M in foreign sales for a global total of $262.67M.

John Wick: Chapter Two landed in fourth place with $16.5M for a domestic total of $58.69M and a global haul of $90.49M off of a $40M budget.

Fifth place went to Fist Fight with $12M.

This week will see Collide, Get Out and Rock Dog.
