Low-budget horror films are just endless money makers it would seem.
With a budget of just $4.5M, Get Out took in a staggering $30.52M in its opening weekend. Even if you use the $20M for marketing formula it was an instant success.
The LEGO Batman Movie came in second this weekend taking in $19M for a new domestic total of $133M and $226M globally off of a $80M budget.
Third place went to John Wick: Chapter Two with $9M for a domestic total of $74.41M and a global haul of $125.51M off of a $40M budget
The Great Wall took fourth place with $8.7M, a drop of 52.9 percent. Its new domestic total is $34.43M and globally at $129M off of a $150M budget.
Rounding out the top five was Fifty Shades Darker with $7.7M and a domestic total of $103.63M and globally sits at $328.33M off of a $55M budget.
