Kenobi: A Star Wars Story rumors fire up yet again buff.ly/2Bti8gT https://t.co/D298MmKNSs
One of the most famous ‘villains’ of the original Star Trek series will be making his way to Star Trek: Discovery.
Two of the most popular episodes of the original Star Trek are “Mudd’s Women” and “I, Mudd”. Both feature Harry Mudd, a galactic conman that is more of a pseudo-villain than any sort of actual threat. Portrayed by Roger C. Carmel in the 1960s, CBS has announced that Rainn Wilson – best known for playing Dwight on the U.S. version of The Office – will be appearing on the new CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery in the role.
Currently the new series is due to premiere either in late summer or early fall, and it is not yet known which episode Mudd will appear in.
This is a risky move as so many people have fond memories of Carmel’s portrayal, but it will be interesting to see what Wilson does with it.
