The apes have ridden to the top of the box office.
Sitting at the top of the box office this week is War for the Planet of the Apes with $56.5M. With its foreign haul it sits at $102.54M off of a $150M budget.
Spider-Man: Homecoming came in second with $45.2M, a 61.4 percent drop from its opening weekend. It now sits at $208.27M domestically and globally sits at $469.37M off of a $175M budget.
Despicable Me 3 landed in third with $18.94M for a new domestic total of $187.98M and global haul of $619.38M off of a $80M budget.
Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver came in foruth with $8.75M for a new domestic total of $73.15M and $96.25M globally off of a $34M budget.
Rounding out the top five was The Big Sick with $7.6M for a new total of $16M.
This week will see Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Girls Trip and Dunkirk hits theaters.
