It would seem that Daniel Craig has not yet made up his mind about whether or not he will return for the 25th James Bond film quite yet.
Despite rumors claiming Craig has signed for two more Bond films, the actor has now said: “no decision has been made.”
Speaking with Boston radio station Magic 106.7 Craig said, “I’m not holding out for more money or doing anything like that. It’s just all very personal decisions to be made at the moment.” He went on to add, “I know they’re desperate to get going and I would in theory love to do it, but there is no decision just yet.”
Craig said in numerous interviews following the release of Spectre that he felt he was done with the role – in far more colorful words – but it does seem that he is back in play.
Will he come back? That’s anyone’s guess at this point. These films aren’t easy to do, and he has four under his belt so he knows what they take out of him. While I would love to see him come back, I also would understand if he decides to move on.
UPDATE: I wrote this before bed. As I slept… he confirmed to Stephen Colbert that he’s back.
