After lengthy negotiations, it appears that Patty Jenkins is finally officially taking on directing duties on Wonder Woman 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter that after lengthy negotiations Jenkins has signed on to direct the follow-up to the successful Wonder Woman and will become the highest paid female director.
Not bad for a last minute director replacement.
Jenkins is said to be receiving directing and writing fees in the $7 million to $9 million range for her duties on the next film and will also have a large share of the backend earnings. Jenkins received just $1 million for the first film. Seeing as that film has gone on to gross $816.3M ($410.5M domestic/$405.8M foreign), it does feel like a pay raise was in order this time around.
Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 13, 2019.
