It just isn’t a Halloween without Laurie Strode. Good thing she’s coming back.
Jamie Lee Curtis announced via her Twitter account on Friday that she will be returning to the horror franchise that made her famous.
"Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18." pic.twitter.com/IvptiZctyw

This isn’t the first time Curtis has returned to the role having appeared in H20 in 1998 and Halloween Resurrection in 2002. Her character was seemingly killed off in the latter, but it has already been announced this new film will mainly follow the original two films.
David Gordon Green and Danny McBride are writing the script with Green also serving as director. John Carpenter is onboard as a producer and consulting with Green. There is also some rumors he may work on the score which would just be magical.
The new Halloween is set to hit theaters on October 19, 2018, and with Curtis now onboard I am way more excited than I was previously for this project.
