@mwilton13 HAH! I was just explaining this to someone the other day and how it morphs with each migration.
It’s easy to assume from reading this site that I can’t possibly like simple, straight-forward movies. Nothing could be further from the truth. Case in point, the Pitch Perfect series.
I have no clue why, but I love the Pitch Perfect movies. The second one did suffer from some of the pitfalls of a comedy sequel – New Characters! Bigger Competition! More Cameos! – and I still enjoyed the heck out of it. Pitch Perfect 3 looks like it will have the same issues, and you know what… I don’t care. I’m ready for a last outing with the Bellas. These are very much ‘turn off your brain’ movies, and even I need that every so often.
The first two have become two of my favorite “I need something on in the background” movies, and I’m sure this one will join the lineup as well.
… although I’m still puzzled by there being a fight and an explosion…
After the highs of winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and discovering there aren’t job prospects for making music with your mouth. But when they get the chance to reunite for an overseas USO tour, this group of awesome nerds will come together to make some music, and some questionable decisions, one last time.
Pitch Perfect 3 hits theaters on December 22.
