Thor thunders to a second week at the top of the box office

Thor is still the god of the box office.

First place went to Thor: Ragnarok this week with $56.6M domestically, for a drop of 53.9 percent. Combined with $438.5M overseas for a global total of $650M off of a $180M budget. It is already the top-grossing film of the Thor series.

Daddy’s Home 2 opened in second place with $30M off of a $69M budget.

Third place went to Murder On the Orient Express with $28.2M, but it took in $57.24 overseas for a total of $85M off of a $55M budget.

A Bad Moms Christmas slipped to fourth with $11.51M for a new total of $39.87M off of a $28M budget. The good news is it dropped only 31.3 percent from its opening which is a super strong hold.

Fifth place went to Jigsaw with $3.42M for a new total of $34.35M off of a $10M budget.

Major releases this week include Justice League, The Star, and Wonder.
