The DC-branded streaming service is going to be home to an all-new animated series starring Harley Quinn.
Warner Brothers has ordered up 26 episodes of a half-hour adult animated action-comedy series that will feature the Joker’s girlfriend, Harley Quinn. The self-titled series will apparently focus on Harley after she breaks up with the Joker and attempts to become the criminal Queenpin of Gotham. The series will also feature appearances by other DC characters such as Poison Ivy.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. wants to get Margot Robbie to voice the character after her scene-stealing turn in the role in Suicide Squad. Of course, if she turns it down, they can always approach Tara Strong who is the current voice actor for the role in video games and animated fare.
Harley Quinn marks the third series destined for the DC service with the live-action Titans in the work and the third season of Young Justice.
Still no word on when this service will launch or how much it will cost, but it certainly seems that there won’t be a lack of fresh content.
