@Jon4Lakers Wait... now I know what happened to my internet today!
Disney takes yet another weekend at the top of the box office.
It’s good to be Disney right now as The Last Jedi replaced another Disney film at the top of the box office. The latest film took in $220M domestic along with $230M foreign for a $450M total opening. You can see how the entire box office broke down here.
Ferdinand opened in second place with $13.32M off of a $11M budget. It’s expected to do better throughout the holidays.
Pixar’s Coco took in $10M to land in third place. It now sits at $150.8M domestic and globally it sits at $448.21M.
Wonder took fourth place with $5.4M for a new domestic total of $109.25M
Rounding out the top five was Justice League with $4.17M for a new domestic total of $219.45M and a global total of $633.95M
The major releases this week are The Greatest Showman and Jumanji on Wednesday, followed by Downsizing, Father Figures and Pitch Perfect 3 on Friday.
