Things are not looking good in the Fox mini-universe of X-Men movies right now.
20th Century Fox has shuffled its schedule around a bit, and it’s not looking good for the X-Men right now. X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been moved from Nov. 2 to Feb. 14, 2019 and rumor is it’s in for some major reshoots. With Sophie Turner playing the titular Dark Phoenix, the studio has to wait for her to finish up her time on the final season of Game of Thrones before they can shoot.
And while we’re at it, The New Mutants have moved yet again, this time moving from Feb. 22, 2019 to Aug. 2, 2019 making it release almost two years after filming wrapped. That is never a good sign folks. And now the rumor is that reshoots will be happening on the film to add an entire character to the film. Yes, because shoehorning in another character is never a bad idea.
I can not wait for the Disney purchase of Fox to become real if for no other reason then to see someone handle these blasted X-Men movies correctly.
