Solo wins the weekend box office, but no one is celebrating

Solo: A Star Wars Story has flown into theaters, but the Falcon is having some definite engine issues.

Deadpool 2 landed in second place with $42.7M, dropping 66 percent from its opening. Domestically it now sits at $207.4M and globally has hit $487.14M off of a $110M budget.

Third place went Avengers: Infinity War $16.49M bringing its domestic total to $621.68M. Globally it now sits at $1.904B.

Book Club landed in fourth place with $9.45M and a new domestic total of $31.83M.

Rounding out the top five was Life of the Party with $5.11M for a new domestic total of $39.1M.

This week will see the release of Action Point and Adrift.
