Yet another sequel scored the top spot this weekend. Who needs originality?
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation took the top spot this weekend with $44.1M this weekend and grossed a global total of $100.17M off of an $80M budget.
Second place went to Ant-Man and the Wasp with $28.84M. The new domestic total sits at $132.82M and $283.72M globally.
Skyscraper opened in third place with $25.48M domestically and globally sits at $65.88M off of a $125M budget.
Fourth place went to Incredibles 2 with $16.22M. It now sits at $535.81M in the U.S. and globally it has hit $856.91M.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom took in $15.51M to round out the top five and bring its domestic total to $363.29M. Combined with the foreign markets, it stands at $1.134B globally off of a $170M budget.
This week will see the release of The Equalizer 2 and Mamma Mia 2.
