This should come as a shock to absolutely no one, but apparently a Star Wars TV series will not be a cheap show to produce.
According to a new report from The New York Times, Disney is looking at spending $10M per episode on the Jon Favreau series. With the first (and only?) season set to run for 10 episodes, Disney is already $100M deep on this project.
To put his into perspective, HBO is spending $15M per episode for the final season of Game of Thrones. Netflix reportedly spends around $8M per episode of Stranger Things. TV production is not cheap to be sure.
All we know about the series for sure thus far is that it takes place seven years after Return of the Jedi, so let your mind wander as to what we may see in this series.
The Disney streaming service – which still lacks an official name – is due to launch some time in 2019.
