@Jigglestiks I knew they did banking in Germany, was just the U.S. portion I was surprised by.
Despite numerous attempts by fans to change the minds of Disney executives, it does not look as though James Gunn will be returning to the fold.
According to Variety, Gunn has had a meeting with studio chairman Alan Horn, and while it was professional and cordial, Disney is going to stick to its guns. (no pun intended)
For those that don’t remember, Gunn was released from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after some old tweets resurfaced. Despite the cast and fans calling for him to be reinstated, it’s just not going to happen. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is also said to stand by the decision.
While it’s unfortunate for the series, it’s also understandable. Marvel couldn’t be shown to show weakness. Reportedly his script will still be used for the film, but there are sure to be some changes once a new director is named.
It’ll be interesting to see how this will shake out.
