With the removal of Danny Boyle from Bond 25, the producers are scrambling to find a replacement. There is reportedly already a shortlist, and there are some interesting conclusions.
I never thought Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Hot Fuzz) would ever be considered for a Bond film, but apparently, he is on the list. Also on the list are David Mackenzie (Hell or Highwater) and Yann Demange (White Boy Rick).
Of these three, I would say that I’m partial to Mackenzie. Wright is a bit too frenetic in his style, but Mackenzie showed some real skill in his work for lingering shots and tension.
At the end of the day, though, lets just a good director and get this in the can.
