RT @VancityReynolds: Feels like the first day of ‘Pool. https://t.co/QVy8fCxgqr
Lets be perfectly clear here: Overall I think having multiple Jokers running around in films is still a bad idea. Pick one. Stick with it. Otherwise you run the risk of confusing viewers.
All that being said, the Joker movie currently in pre-production that is separate from the DC Extended Universe has my attention. Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker is… okay, fine. He’s a good actor. But then Robert De Niro joins the cast as a radio talk show host… then Marc Maron comes on in an unknown role… Zazie Beetz… Francis Conroy… and then Alec Baldwin suddenly comes on board as Thomas Wayne?
Yes, Thomas Wayne, not Bruce Wayne. Meaning he is playing Batman’s father. If Thomas is alive, this also means the Joker pre-dates Batman by a considerable number of years. Thomas and Martha (WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!?) still need to die, Bruce to grow up and so on.
The untitled Joker movie is set to hit theaters on Oct. 4, 2019. My interest is growing thanks to this cast. Lets see where this goes.
