Venom Takes a Big Bite Out of the Weekend Box Office

It was a big weekend at the box office by any measure.

Venom took first place this weekend with $80M, coming in well over estimates. Globally it already sits at $205.23M off of a $100M budget.

Second place went to A Star is Born with $41.25M in the U.S. Globally it sits at $56.6M.

Smallfoot had a healthy hold in the second week with a drop of 35.3 percent to take in $14.9M for a new domestic total of $42.76M. Globally it sits at $75.26M.

Fourth place went to Night School with $12.27M for a new domestic total of $46.75off of a $29M budget.

The House With a Clock in its Walls rounded out the top five with $7.29M for a new domestic total of $55.05M off of a $42M budget.

This week’s releases include Bad Times At The El Royale, Goosebumps 2:Haunted Halloween, and First Man.
