It seems that James Gunn may not be done with comic book movies afterall. Following his firing by Disney off of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, no one was sure where he would land. Many called for him to move to DC movies, and it seems that may be happening.
According to The Wrap, James Gunn is in talks to write Suicide Squad 2, and there is even some movement on him directing. What is interesting, however, is that there is some talk of this being a reboot of the property as opposed to a sequel. Because, as you know, Warner Brothers loves confusing audiences.
Gunn was fired from Disney when some old tweets resurfaced that he had to apologize for. This removed him from finishing his Guardians trilogy, and the fate of the third film is now unknown.
He was bound to resurface somewhere, and this could prove to be very interesting should it all come to be.
