If true, I have hit immortality. twitter.com/CNBC/status/10…
Cowboy Bebop is being remade as a live-action series for Netflix and it’s the end of the world… or not.
I love Cowboy Bebop. It’s easily one of the best anime series ever made in my opinion. Netflix has announced it has ordered a live-action take on the series, and… the internet lost its mind.
I saw people ‘screaming.’ I saw people throwing tantrums. I even saw some people suggesting violence in some form. They were saying how this would suck, and be horrible and ruin the original and so on.
You know what? Don’t watch it. It’s as simple as that. Just because a thing you don’t like exists doesn’t mean it destroys what you love. You will never be forced to watch it. I quit The Walking Dead when I just couldn’t take it anymore. It has gone on for seasons without me, doesn’t mean the comic somehow was tarnished. (Although I did finally quit the comic, too. It was getting silly.)
Do I think the live-action show will be as good as the anime? Nope. Do I hate it for potentially someday existing? Nope.
There are a lot of things in this world for me to worry about, and as I get older that becomes more and more evident. The existence of a live-action Cowboy Bebop series that will probably suck? That is about 997,334 on my list of things to be concerned over.
Enjoy it or don’t, it’s up to you. But try to not get so worked up. Life is too short.
