@KhaledAlwaleed The whole presentation was confusing. It feels like Apple is having a bit of an identity crisis at the moment.
I’m still willing to give the new Hellboy a shot, but boy have my expectations cooled.
Guillermo del Toro’s two Hellboy movies aren’t perfect, and I never would say they are. What I would say, though, is that they visually look amazing. del Toro is a master of creating immersive, lived in looking worlds. This new Hellboy… it looks like someone went to the dollar store and picked up props.
There’s a few points where you can tell David Harbour (Stranger Things) is having issues talking through the makeup. And the Right Hand of Doom just doesn’t look right.
And the plot looks mind-numbingly generic. We’ve seen this a million times and it just doesn’t feel fresh.
I would love to see this work, but my hopes are just not high at this point.
Hellboy will hit theaters on April 12, 2019.
