Watching my second Fyre Festival documentary of the week… this… it gets weirder with every minute of footage I watch.
Gotham is one of those shows that you know isn’t good for you, but yet you still find yourself watching every episode of it. Because, lets face it, it’s serialized fan fiction based on Batman. I’m fine with people trying their own spins on characters, but just don’t try to fool yourself that you aren’t making fan fiction.
With all that said, the final season of Gotham kicks off on Jan. 3, 2019, and leading up to that, we got a very long trailer.
I’m not quite sure how, but somehow this series morphed into The Purge at some point. I’m still going to watch, but that is what the series is now.
What had made me come back to this series so much? That’s pretty easy actually, and that’s Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald “The Penguin” Cobblepot. That’s a character that I’ve never really cared for, and I really didn’t care for the grotesque depections of him. I think Taylor has completely redefined my perception of that character and I applaud him for it. I’m into the Penguin now and he is who I will be thinking of when I read stories with him.
So, 12 episodes I’m done with Gotham. In some ways I’ll miss it, and in other ways I’ll wonder how I ever made it this far.
