@KhaledAlwaleed The whole presentation was confusing. It feels like Apple is having a bit of an identity crisis at the moment.
There are a lot of moving parts to Disney acquiring Fox, but there is only one part that really matters: The Marvel characters imprisoned over there.
The X-Men and Fantastic Four have been under Fox’s control for some time now, But thanks to the impending acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney, that is about to come to an end. The question is, however, how long before Kevin Feige and his Marvel Studios get their hands on the characters? Speaking with the Playback podcast this week, Feige said it’s not too terribly long.
We’ve been told it’s looking very, very good and could happen in the first six months of next year. The notion of the characters coming back is great. It’s nice when a company that created all these characters can have access to all those characters. It’s unusual not to. But in terms of actually thinking about it and actually planning things, we haven’t started that yet.
How they will integrate the X-Men is the biggest question mark to me. How have no mutants ever appeared in the MCU? I guess we’ll find out in the next few years.
