Watching my second Fyre Festival documentary of the week… this… it gets weirder with every minute of footage I watch.
It seems that the king of the seven seas may also be the kind of the box office.
Aquaman swam his way to the top of the box office again in its second weekend of domestic release. It took in $51.55M for a new domestic total of $188.78M. That brings the global total to $748.78M.
Second place went to Mary Poppins Returns with $28M, a rare increase in a second week. It now sits at $98.92M domestically and $173.32M globally.
Bumblebee transformed into third place with $20.5M for a domestic total of $66.77M and a global haul of $156.77M off of a $135M budget.
Fourth place went to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which took in $18.31M. It now sits at $103.64M domestic and $213.24M global off of a $90M budget.
The Mule wrapped up the top five with $11.78M for a new total of $60.73M off of a $50M budget.
This week’s releases include A Dog’s Way Home, Replicas, and The Upside.
