For those interested, please go here for info on making donations to various charaities.

On the side notes though….why do our news outlets get so focused on one story? There are other stories going on in the world folks. How about we discuss the insane prices oil is reaching due to us losing 6,000 barrels a day production capacity? I mean, come on folks, let’s have some coverage, but non-stop, wall-to-wall coverage on channels such as MSNBC is just insane. There is a world out there folks, why don’t we try learning about it?

Pure Geek
47 % Nerd, 91% Geek, 43% Dork
For The Record:
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being
smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or
subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social
expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Geek, earning you the title of: Pure
Geek.
It’s not that you’re a school junkie, like the nerd, and you don’t
really stand out in a crowd, like the dork, you just have some
interests that aren’t quite mainstream. Perhaps it’s anime, perhaps
it’s computers, perhaps it’s bottlecaps, perhaps it’s all of those and
more. Your interests take you to events and gatherings that are filled
with people you find unusual and beyond-the-pale, but you don’t quite
consider yourself “of that crowd.” Instead, you consider yourself to be
fairly normal.
Which, you are.
Congratulations!
(If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also, you might

I ran a poll over on my LiveJournal a while back because they have free polls. Sorry to the regular blog readers. Anyway, a whopping two people replied…woo.

Mittens83 asked…Top Five Llamas (because, she is slightly insane)

This was a tough one. Did she mean colors? Llama’s in history? Phew…tough call. So where do I go anytime I need to know something? Wikipedia of course. Their entry for Llamas was very enlightening.

5. The Llama in the Disney film “The Emperor’s New Groove

4. Tina the Llama from Napolean Dynamite

3. White Llamas with brown spots!

2. The Naked Dancing Llama – for all it’s sagely advice

1. The Llamas in “The Llama Song“…warning…it’s highly addictive.

Gradeafan asked…Breakfast foods?

Oh my, such pressure! So many choices!

5. Raisin Bran

4. Grape Nuts

3. Boo Berry

2. Donoughts (Krispy Kreme when I can get them!)

1. Eggs in any shape! Scrambled, over hard, sunny side up, omlettes, hard boiled, eggs benedict…I don’t care…just give me eggs!

The trailers are packed, the clothes are ready to go, all that is left is the last minute, nit-picky stuff.

The funniest thing to me? The number of ways things I am throwing in the car to entertain us all! Portable DVD player, iPod (loaded with employee requested 80′s and “Hair Band” songs). I have packed far more DVDs that I could ever watch, even if I wasn’t working. Oh well. I do have four days of car time to kill. And folks, believe me, there is nothing on the face of the planet more mind-numbing than riding in the back of a car, staring at a trailer for days on end.

Like I have said previously, I have pre-written a bunch of enteries, so the one-a-day pace will continue. (Notice I did this one after midnight so today is done…ha!)

It seems that two of the jurors in the Michael Jackson trial just can’t let go of their 15 minutes of fame. According to this Reuters article, the two jurors are saying they were intimidated by the other members of the jury to vote for “not-guilty”. They are claiming that they always thought Jackson was guilty, and the other 10 jurors are responsible for letting a pedophile go free.

I really don’t care how you feel about the case, Michael Jackson or even the verdict, this is just a sad state of affairs that these two jurors feel now is the time to clear their conscience. I mean, it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that one of them is selling t-shirts and they both have book deals and a possible TV movie…could it?

I have been in a horrible mood now for about 6 hours. I tried going to bed and immediately broke into a sweat, and when I did get to sleep I promptly had nightmares. So here I sit, having no clue what is wrong with me. Grand fun.

Not much going on. Preparing for the trip to Baltimore next week for Otakon. I will be out of town from Tuesday the 16th until late on Tuesday the 23rd.

Since I won’t have time each day to do well researched blog enteries, I am pre-writing them. Not thrilled by the concept, but at least it will keep my blog going. I will just have to find the time each day to post them, but that shouldn’t be too hard. Just expect bunches of them at weird hours! Only one is written so far and it is about school uniforms. Other will include something a bit more introspective than I usually do, some TV stuff and one about the legal drinking age for sure. Don’t those just all sound fun? Yeah…I know.

I know this may come as a shock to you, but this is stolen from Rachel over on LiveJournal

List 10 things in a day that give you a moment of joy, and tag five of your friends:

(in no paticular order)

1) The few moments my dog allows me to hold him in my lap before he is certain I am keeping him from food.

2) Making people laugh. (sometimes I even succeed)

3) IMing with friends

4) E-Mail, even though the majority of it is spam

5) While none of it is earth-shattering, blogging has become a joy of my day

6) Writing

7) Sitting outside at night time, enjoying the quiet

8) The light you can only get from a full moon

9) Helping my friends with their problems

10) The surge of joy certian music gives you

Tagging whomever wants to take it
